On behalf of the Old Orchard Beach School Department, I would like to welcome you to our web site. The Old Orchard Beach School System serves 1250 students from kindergarten through the twelfth grade. We�re located in a small coastal town about fifteen miles south of Portland, Maine and the only community in Maine to be blessed with miles of beautiful sandy beaches which attracts people from all over the country during the summer months.
The community takes tremendous pride in our schools. In 1991 Old Orchard Beach High School was named a National School of Excellence. Four years ago we were one of 26 sites from around the country to receive a highly competitive Technology Challenge Grant from the United States Department of Education. Our schools are rich in tradition, yet we are well positioned to educate our youth as we enter the 21st century.
