Meeting came to order at 6:05

 

Dru asked for a motion that the secretary�s report be accepted. Lisa made the motion to accept the secretary�s report. Rhonda seconded. All in favor

 

Dru asked the Treasure�s report be accepted, Rhonda seconded. All in favor.

 

We�re all sorry that our Valentine�s dance was cancelled, however we can find out if the 13^th of May is open. Karen mentioned just how many donations were given for our dance: Beach Bum, Old Orchard Baseball card shop, log cabin quick stop, commercial properties, etc�.

 

The achievement learning night/ educating the parents of the new laws and regulations of the No child Left Behind Act will be Tuesday, March 8^th. If we can have people bake great.  Cancelled because of snow. Need to reschedule.

 

The box top program went over well; Mrs. Day won for the 4^th & 5^th, grades, while Mrs. Gaudreau�s won for the 6th,  7^th & 8^th. The total amount is 2168 box tops. Should we try for another one for the end of May?

 

Teacher Appreciation Week is May 8^th. Pens, pencils and beach towels would be a great gift for them.

 

New Business

 

#1        Booster Club/ Honor Society from Jameson would like to borrow popcorn and hot dog machines.

 

#2        Dru asked if we could toss in another Movie at the end of April? Jim needs to know/ask. Janet needs to get things moving, so Dru will call and let her know.

 

#3        Teachers will have first glance at the Book Fair, when we have teacher�s tea. It will be a private showing just for the teachers.  

 

-     Tentatively November 9^th � 18^th.

-     NEED volunteers to help with selling of the books.

-       Can the students help set up again?

-       Too many toys are being sold instead of books, especially with gift certificates.

-       Raffles guessing how many in jars.

 

 

#4        Need ideas for teacher appreciation day, week, night.

 

-       75 teacher/staff

-       Beach towels or blanket?
