Old Orchard teachers have a long history of active participation in developing curriculum from K-adult. Since 1988 cross-grade and cross-school committees of teachers have written curriculum based on the most current research and national standards. With the passage into state law of the Maine Learning Results (MLR) in 1997, OOB teachers were in a good position to begin aligning their work with the MLR.
The following documents reflect this on-going work. In 1999-2000, K-8 teachers went one step further and identified grade level benchmarks (expectations) in most content areas. Some areas are incomplete and continue to be developed. Other areas may change as we revisit a content area or grade level.
